Family Business Management 

Mike spent more than 24 years with one of Hawaii’s larger commercial banks on the islands of Oahu, Maui and Hawaii.  The bulk of his career was spent as a senior credit officer and manager of several of the bank’s business banking units.  During his tenure in banking, he worked with a wide range of businesses and learned a great deal about the many problems and challenges that business owners face.  He has an appreciation for the hurdles that business owners face every day. 

Since his retirement from banking in 1999, he has been engaged as an independent consultant focused on the needs of closely held and family owned businesses.  Feel free to call or email Mike to set up  an initial interview to determine whether he can be of assistance to you and your company.

Mike wants to help owners of family businesses deal with the challenges they face with their respective businesses by providing relevant management tools and practices.  And, to also encourage owners of closely held and family owned businesses to look long term and devote time and energy to Succession Planning.  Not enough can be said of the importance of this activity to the survival of every family owned business.
